The CosmiKids brand is an outpouring of what’s authentically in my heart. Living from the heart means I do my best to follow my inner guidance to make a positive difference in the world through the field of children’s edutainment.
It all started back in the mid 1980’s when I launched a new idea of health clubs for children called “Kids at Heart”. We offered lots of engaging activities promoting fitness, nutrition, manners and self-esteem for ages 4 – 9. I was young, fearless and focused on fun. It meant the world to me that people in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA jumped on board to help me fund and launch my inner vision for kids. My first official business venture resulted in two brick and mortar locations, a TV show I co-starred in called “MeToo”, a wellness kit sold in stores, and lots of incredible memories and funny (read :: hair-raising) twists and turns along the way.
Fast forward to early 2003. Based on all that I learned in those early years, I was ready, willing and able when opportunity knocked for me to develop another type of children’s health club, which then came to be known as CosmiKids. This time it was 3,000 miles west and was located at the Chopra Center for Well-Being at the world famous La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, CA.
Why CosmiKids, you ask? Because to me it was meant for more than just American kids or even global youth, it was universal in its scope and that meant cosmic, in my book.
It was a modern version of my earlier locations with the added aspect of education and entertainment, incorporating pint-sized versions of adult workshops from human development specialists Deepak Chopra, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Masuru Emoto, Wayne Dyer and Dr. Jean Houston, among others.
I’ve long wanted to extend the CosmiKids school and enrichment center experience beyond its four walls. From the Hollywood launch of our pop-up test site in 2006 to our Tarzana, CA CosmiKids enrichment and party center in 2009, to our CosmiKids Mumbai launch in 2012, I knew there would come a time when we could touch even more children and families through the crystal clear lens of our CosmiKids brand. Thanks to Tess Cacciatore and GWENNetwork.com, that time is now!
Ready for a wonder-filled “reality” playtime of self-discovery through Creative Interaction and Mindful Connections CosmiKids-style?
Each episode of CosmiKids TV features adorably real 4 to 9 year olds creating, crafting, collaborating, and resonating in the colorful CosmiKids Play and Discovery zone with 13 to 15 year old “vibes” facilitating the learning and personal development through play. Our one-of-a-kind multi-generational edu-tainment show features kids, teens and seniors engaged together as they explore powerful life lessons.
Here in my blog posts, I will also be showcasing creative collaborators from around the globe, sharing what they’re doing to make a positive difference for children. From South American permaculture home schools; to precious, private dad and son moments from Mikki Willis’ ELEVATE KIDS video snippets in Ojai, CA; to east coast mindful magic with “specially-abled” and “differently-wired” youth and coming of age wisdom from Agape International’s Youth and Family Director Leon Campbell, Jr.
Oh, yea, and also stay tuned for a whole knew level of children’s content curation for digital media. It’s light years from your grandmother’s “Good Housekeeping” seal of approval. It’ll be relevant, conscious and hip. Content curation is the act of discovering, gathering, and presenting digital content that surrounds specific subject matter, like KIDS! I’ll be amassing the best in kid-relevant content from a variety of sources, and delivering it to you with the click of a button. How’s that for efficient living?
I will bring it all to you here before, during and after the delightful, fresh and sometimes life-changing CosmiKids TV episodes air. The show will air at the same time each week on GWENNetwork.com and then it will be available as an archive, in case you happen to miss it. Check out my facebook and Instagram pages too, cause I’m always posting and sharing. Contact me anytime firstname.lastname@example.org.
So stay tuned and fasten your seat belts, ‘cause it’s about to get cosmic in here!

Fear is a never a fun part of life. It can create doubt, and tension in all areas, especially your heart chakra. This can create a sensation of being unable to breath or even a block in communication between you and the important people in your life. Below is a simple exercise designed to help you begin breathing easier, softer, better, lighter and step off of the path of fear and back on to the road of love and light which is where we all come from and where we belong. 🙂
You can try this now if you like. Take some space, get a drink of water and relax. Go to a quiet room in your house without clutter or stay just where you are if you feel comfortable. Take a deep breath and let the wave of thoughts wash over you as usual. This time, as they come, please take each thought and hand them over to the universe like paper in the wind… and breath! Let each thought now belong to the universe. They can still be in your periphery, they may never go away and that’s okay! Just give them to the universe to take care of for now! It really works! By handing over the daily list of chores, deadlines and worries, it grants us the opportunity to step back and really gain some clarity on the people, places and things of our day to day.
Please know that true clarity is not necessarily complete nothingness, it can also simply mean getting distance from the craziness so that you can discover a new perspective.
Keep handing everything over and focus only on your breath. When you feel connected to your breathing, move your mind slowly down from your head into your chest area. To help you visualize, imagine a big green heart in your chest area. Place a beautiful set of French Doors on them. Throw open those doors and step inside your Heart. You will know you are in your heart when you feel nothing but LOVE. This is a place of healing and warmth. This is your heart and it is wiser than your head can ever hope to be. It is here that we can escape the stress of the world and feel safe. There is no fear in your heart. There is no room for it here. Only LOVE. You can come here whenever you feel lost or scared and it will Always be filled with Love and understanding. If you ever need an answer about anything and your head is giving you well.. a headache 😉 you can come to the Heart for the answer. This will always be the true answer. it may not be one that you particularly like but it is closer to the truth because the answer comes from Love, not will.
Try this once a day until you become comfortable with it. Then when you are ready… try going to your heart when you are talking to another person. See how it feels to see another with your Heart not your Eyes, to hear them with your Spirit and not your Ears. This is not an easy thing, it takes practice and requires self love and conviction but I promise you that you will spend less time living in fear and will probably learn right quick who you should or shouldn’t be spending time with. 😉
Doing exercises like this requires that we spend some time looking within and this is not an easy thing. It is important that we not beat ourselves up if we are having trouble. Spend some time this week looking within, and finding the knots or blocks that are preventing you from allowing an open and honest flow between your Conscious and Unconscious minds. My brave students have taught me that sometimes these blocks are big are created for a reason, however, in order to do any kind of psychic work, healing or on ourselves or others, we need to be able to feel safe in the great sea that is our subconscious mind. Any doubts, blocks, or phobias, can compromise this work and make this space unsafe, so if you are having trouble connecting the two, if you are feeling a particularly large blockage, some grounded Psychological work or Clinical Therapy in tandem with meditation can be instrumental in helping you to connect to your subconscious more safely.
Remember that we have a physical body, a conciseness and spiritual bodies. Each of them are meant to be working together to optimize your human life experience. Meditation and Clinical Psychological Therapy can be considered a physical world bridge between the Conscious and unconscious and I highly recommend a period of study of both at some point in your lives to… well…anyone 🙂 Every day we all live doing the absolute best that we know how to. The more time we spend understanding who we are and why we are here the easier it will be for us to maneuver through it. Spend some time today looking within and seeing that amazing and beautiful being that you are. Take a breezy walk through your open heart and feel the love that you are capable of. Spend a little time here each day until coming here is a no brainer. Eventually you will spend enough time in your heart that your world will change. You will make that connection between Physical and Spirit, Conscious and Subconscious and step into the Loving Being that you actually are. And believe me, others will follow. 🙂
If you liked this meditation, come on over to YourLifeIsAwesome.com and sign up with your email for even more mediations and resources on living peacefully and with authenticity. Its Free! When you song up you will also get a Free copy of my MP3 on Meditation, Frequency & Breath. I look forward to seeing you there and moving forward into peace, together!

In this segment from our Minds on Mother Earth episode pictured on the left-hand side, Dr. Pooch & Aha! stand in front of the Tree of Gratitude with Max as they discuss the current state of Mother Earth and how to help her heal. Discoveries and insights unfold as the children play, build and create with their Legos. One-by-one, the CosmiKids share their playful musings….“Turn the Trash into Grass”, “Clean up the Oceans with LegoVacuums” and “Garbage Be Gone and Out through you Ear.”
CosmiKids’ Resonant Learning Approach™ offers a profound and playful experiential practice for anyone seeking emotional and intellectual well being with regards to understanding children and developing a more expansive knowledge of their unique characters, their in-born wholeness and their highly sensitive natures. It’s all about slowing down and tuning in to the peace of present moment awareness.
As part of our global CosmiKids TV Connect segment, we tune in to our friends Linea Pagmar Linder and her children, Indio (5 yrs) and Mio (3 yrs.) from La Beltrana Intentional Permaculture Farm and Homeschoool in Buenos Aries, Argentina.
How do we connect to the world? Everything moves through relationships, shares Linea during our recent Skype get together. Inspired by Dr. Dan Siegal’s 3 R’s, Relationship, Reflection and Resilience, Linea’s homeschooling philosophy is a life schooling learning-through-doing and reflection model, based on non-violent communication and empathy building.
Indio takes care of the chickens and talks with his mother about how they their lose their feathers and how they walk. Simple, organic and flowing.
Linea writes in her blog, “Today there are chickens at La Beltrana. Small. Yellow. Downy. Soon it’s bedtime for me but a completely quiet night, it will not be. Having 99 little ones out of the night is no recipe for a good night’s sleep”.
Argentina’s current political unrest and the growing insecurities, instability and violence could well be mitigated with an understanding of the 3 R’s, suggests Linea. Building relationships without labels and connecting to one another’s needs is a mantra that Linea brings to her family life and homeschooling environment. Time for reflection allows for conscious decision-making and Linea feels that an awareness of the needs of others creates a resiliency for bounce-back from challenging and difficult situations. From the macro to the micro of life in Argentina and everywhere, it’s all about our web of interconnected and oneness.
