As we quickly approach the end of 2015 and are faced with a tremendous amount of global tragedies, GWEN would love for you to donate to a great cause AND to help promote public safety!
With the current state of affairs around the world, we feel it is imperative for EVERYONE to be equipped with the best solution to let our loved ones know that we are safe.
PLEASE consider your 4th quarter tax donation for 2015 to be given to Global Women’s Empowerment Network and our GWEN Alert V.2.
GWEN Alert was one of the first safety mobile apps to the market back in 2012. GWEN 5 allows for you to upload your top 5 trusted people into the GWEN Alert. If you are ever in danger, then a one button click sends them a pre-set text that you are in trouble with a GPS locator.
Anyone with a smart phone should have this app, as we offer the GWEN Alert as a FREE download, so that it’s affordable for all.
- Campus safety (1 in 4 young women are sexually assaulted annually) – plus recent stats of campus mass-shootings
- People who travel alone, or late at night – WITH CURRENT GLOBAL INCIDENCES THIS IS A NECESSITY
- Online dating
- Domestic Violence
WHAT’S NEW FOR VERSION 2 – We are taking the GWEN Alert to the next level.
The GWEN Alert2 will capture footage of the perpetrator, through a VIDEO COMPONENT built into the app. Every 20 seconds video is captured and is sent to the cloud. This assures footage capture, in case your phone is destroyed or stolen during any altercation. Visual proof will protect the victim and help stop, or solve a crime.
So… what is our ask? We are looking to raise $20,000 to update the app. This offers you a tax-deductible donation to Global Women’s Empowerment Network GWEN (501c3) #80-0830394.

With their schedules jam-packed with extracurricular activities, technology at their fingertips and a whole new breed of school bully, sometimes a child can begin to feel powerless in their own life. It’s more important now than ever to empower children by giving them the tools they need to remember their essential identity and the personal strength to achieve their goals and become their own role models for positive living. A peek behind the scenes at the filming of GWENNetwork’s CosmiKids TV and a visit with our friends across the globe through CosmiKids Connect is all about empowerment, self-care and emotional intelligence (EQ).
The following four tips featuring incredible CosmiKids help us all remember what’s important and to keep EQ Central in our lives.
1. Celebrate their Unique Power
The things that make them different from others are their greatest assets. Encourage them to take pride in their individuality.

2. Because I’m Happy
Surround yourself with positive people, engaging in activities that give you energy, while avoiding people, activities and foods that drain your energy or negatively upset the balance in your life.
(Photos: Freckle-faced and radiant, Matei shares his smile and good vibes during the shooting of the Water Thoughts segment. Several of our CosmiKids cast mates laugh and share ideas with each other and Dr. Pooch during the Minds on Mother Earth segment.)
(Photos: CosmiKids Connects with lots of smiling & happy faces at AgapeLive.org and their summer Freedom School. They generate a love of reading in Los Angeles youth. )
Reading is freedom! They provide free and healthy meals, family support and increased social awareness. Agape stops the cradle to prison pipeline. Statistics proves reading and creative expression reduces violence and the debilitating effects of poverty. The Agape Freedom School raises self-esteem and creative expression for youth ages 5 and up. Follow them on Twitter: #AgapeCDFFS
Respect your child’s need for down time in between or after a jam-packed day of activities by building it into their daily routine. Encourage activities that allow your child to breathe and relax — whether it’s free play, yoga, meditation or just taking a break from technology.

(Photo: As part of our CosmiKids Connect segment, we tune in to our friends at New Hampshire’s HunterSchool.org and enjoy a glimpse of their down time activities or lack thereof. Simple quiet time and yoga soothes the soul and quiets the energies of the mind, amidst their otherwise busy day at school.)
(Photo: Hunter charts the energies that their students resonate. It becomes a mirror to reflect their positive vibes, supportive actions and peaceful demeanor. They learn how to regain their center by breath work, focus and affirmations. Chilling from time-to-time helps balance one’s energies.)
4. Stellar Performance
Focusing on your child’s positive behaviors and achievements and rewarding them with praise often breeds more positive behaviors and empowers them to make better choices while building their self-esteem. Reprimanding your child for negative behaviors may reduce negative behaviors, however it does not increase positive behaviors and can be damaging to the child’s developing sense of inner confidence and strength. Serving as a mirror to reflect your child’s positive actions, abilities and qualities help them to see themselves as valuable, talented and capable individuals. The way you teach your child to behave positively also sets an example for your child to teach their peers to treat them with respect and kindness.

CosmiKids Connects with friends Indio and Mio and their positive playtime at La Beltrana Intentional Permaculture Farm and Homeschoool in Buenos Aries, Argentina. They have been chasing butterflies all summer. This day Luis Alberto (their father) made them a net to catch butterflies. The small birdcage that you see on the orange-wheeled cart was to be a home for them. They went outside to search for butterflies yet couldn’t find a single one. The weather was sunny but since its autumn in South America now, its not that warm. They talked with their mom about why they couldn’t find any butterflies. They went inside the house and looked up on Internet about how butterflies live, what they like, when they fly and when they don’t. They learned a lot about something they love – butterflies.

The CosmiKids brand is an outpouring of what’s authentically in my heart. Living from the heart means I do my best to follow my inner guidance to make a positive difference in the world through the field of children’s edutainment.
It all started back in the mid 1980’s when I launched a new idea of health clubs for children called “Kids at Heart”. We offered lots of engaging activities promoting fitness, nutrition, manners and self-esteem for ages 4 – 9. I was young, fearless and focused on fun. It meant the world to me that people in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA jumped on board to help me fund and launch my inner vision for kids. My first official business venture resulted in two brick and mortar locations, a TV show I co-starred in called “MeToo”, a wellness kit sold in stores, and lots of incredible memories and funny (read :: hair-raising) twists and turns along the way.
Fast forward to early 2003. Based on all that I learned in those early years, I was ready, willing and able when opportunity knocked for me to develop another type of children’s health club, which then came to be known as CosmiKids. This time it was 3,000 miles west and was located at the Chopra Center for Well-Being at the world famous La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, CA.
Why CosmiKids, you ask? Because to me it was meant for more than just American kids or even global youth, it was universal in its scope and that meant cosmic, in my book.
It was a modern version of my earlier locations with the added aspect of education and entertainment, incorporating pint-sized versions of adult workshops from human development specialists Deepak Chopra, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Masuru Emoto, Wayne Dyer and Dr. Jean Houston, among others.
I’ve long wanted to extend the CosmiKids school and enrichment center experience beyond its four walls. From the Hollywood launch of our pop-up test site in 2006 to our Tarzana, CA CosmiKids enrichment and party center in 2009, to our CosmiKids Mumbai launch in 2012, I knew there would come a time when we could touch even more children and families through the crystal clear lens of our CosmiKids brand. Thanks to Tess Cacciatore and GWENNetwork.com, that time is now!
Ready for a wonder-filled “reality” playtime of self-discovery through Creative Interaction and Mindful Connections CosmiKids-style?
Each episode of CosmiKids TV features adorably real 4 to 9 year olds creating, crafting, collaborating, and resonating in the colorful CosmiKids Play and Discovery zone with 13 to 15 year old “vibes” facilitating the learning and personal development through play. Our one-of-a-kind multi-generational edu-tainment show features kids, teens and seniors engaged together as they explore powerful life lessons.
Here in my blog posts, I will also be showcasing creative collaborators from around the globe, sharing what they’re doing to make a positive difference for children. From South American permaculture home schools; to precious, private dad and son moments from Mikki Willis’ ELEVATE KIDS video snippets in Ojai, CA; to east coast mindful magic with “specially-abled” and “differently-wired” youth and coming of age wisdom from Agape International’s Youth and Family Director Leon Campbell, Jr.
Oh, yea, and also stay tuned for a whole knew level of children’s content curation for digital media. It’s light years from your grandmother’s “Good Housekeeping” seal of approval. It’ll be relevant, conscious and hip. Content curation is the act of discovering, gathering, and presenting digital content that surrounds specific subject matter, like KIDS! I’ll be amassing the best in kid-relevant content from a variety of sources, and delivering it to you with the click of a button. How’s that for efficient living?
I will bring it all to you here before, during and after the delightful, fresh and sometimes life-changing CosmiKids TV episodes air. The show will air at the same time each week on GWENNetwork.com and then it will be available as an archive, in case you happen to miss it. Check out my facebook and Instagram pages too, cause I’m always posting and sharing. Contact me anytime firstname.lastname@example.org.
So stay tuned and fasten your seat belts, ‘cause it’s about to get cosmic in here!
